Empower, Advocate Transform

Justice & Support for Immigrant Families

Our Mission

Dreamer’s Hymn Inc is committed to providing free psychosocial evaluations for immigrants navigating legal challenges, including asylum, VAWA, U-Visas, and hardship waivers. By eliminating financial barriers to critical mental health assessments, we empower immigrants with the necessary documentation to support their legal cases. Our work extends beyond evaluations—we also advocate for immigrant rights and provide direct services to help individuals build stable, self-sufficient futures.

Services

We are committed to empowering immigrant families by addressing
legal, psychological, and socioeconomic challenges through a
holistic, culturally responsive, and justice-oriented approach. Our
work focuses on three key areas:

Immigrant Advocacy

Legal & Mental Health Support

Motherhood & Parenting Support

Strengthening Families

Childcare, Education & Workforce Development

Building Stability & Opportunity

The Story Behind Our Mission

Dreamer’s Hymn Inc was born out of a simple but urgent need: immigrant women, especially from the Bangladeshi community, seeking refuge from domestic violence. Many arrived in the U.S. through marriage, only to face abuse, threats of deportation, and legal power imbalances that kept them trapped. Learning about the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) gave them hope—a path to self-petition for legal status—but securing the necessary psychological evaluations was often an impossible financial burden.

We stepped in to bridge that gap. Soon, our work expanded to serve
undocumented women seeking asylum and U-Visa relief—survivors of violent crimes carrying trauma that shaped their daily existence. Whether fleeing persecution or rebuilding after violence, these women needed more than a report; they needed stability, economic opportunity, and a community that wouldn’t let them fall through the cracks.

Dreamer’s Hymn Inc stands in that gap, ensuring that no immigrant is denied justice due to financial hardship. But the need keeps growing, and we can’t do it alone.

What is Immigrant Advocacy?

We assist immigrants applying for asylum, VAWA, U-Visas, and hardship waivers by providing free psychosocial evaluations conducted by trained psychology and social work students under professional supervision. What is Childcare, Education & Workforce Development ?

Psychosocial evaluations are an essential part of many
immigration cases, but they come at a high cost.
Evaluations typically range from $1,200 to $1,500 per
case, a price that many immigrants cannot afford.
Depending on available funding, Dreamer’s Hymn Inc
can provide evaluations at no cost or reduced fees.

With $25,000, we can subsidize approximately 40
evaluations; with $100,000, we can cover over 150
evaluations; and with $250,000, we can expand our
services to provide at least 200 fully funded evaluations
along with additional support programs.

What are you Funding?

With increased support, we aim to:

  • Establish a scholarship fund to train more psychology
and social work students in trauma-informed immigrant
    advocacy.
  • Develop a mobile evaluation program to serve
immigrants in remote and underserved areas.
  • Provide transportation assistance to ensure mothers
and survivors of violence can access evaluations and
    legal services without barriers.
  • Expand job training and EAL programs to help
    immigrants build long-term economic stability.

Your generosity can ignite the spark of hope for countless
individuals, turning dreams of a fair chance into reality.
Stand with us in making systemic change possible. Fund a
dream, change a life!
